Intellectually Curious?

Many adults learn informally — through podcasts, documentaries, books, articles, and lectures. What these sources rarely provide is intellectual community and core knowledge. We believe that’s a shame!

Putting the Pieces Together

Semper Curious brings inquisitive people together to connect with deeper areas of research and scholarship.

This does not mean going back to school to take traditional courses. It does mean experiencing subjects like biology, economics, or art history for their unique takes on the world — the language they use, the models they construct, the methods they apply, and the findings they produce.

The result is not a diploma. It is enrichment, wonder, and new perspectives. New ways of looking at everyday life and the larger world.

Learning for Pleasure

Semper Curious is for inquisitive adults who enjoy this type of learning, for its own sake. We actively promote curiosity, and participants spend as much or as little time on topics as their interests and schedules warrant.

An essential element is the nexus of ideas and people. Participants review materials and meet in small groups with peers and guest scholars to bring topics to life. The tone is informal yet substantive.

From the start members experience the joy of learning, across the disciplines, as part of a congenial intellectual community.
